Dear Mrs. Sim,
Hi! How are you? Is everything going smoothly? The purpose of writing a letter to you is to share with you about the changes that I have experienced since school reopened in 2008.
First of all, our class has moved up to the gallery! No longer sitting down on the floor like how we used to when we were in sec 1s. 2s and 3s. Its a great feeling. Perhaps it’s because sitting at the gallery means that you have passed your secondary 3 promotion exams and also, being known as the ‘seniors’ in the whole school.
Secondly, the school has made some changes to our school uniform. It’s no longer the pin-on badge. It is now, iron-on badge. The advantage is that we, the students will never get caught by teachers again for forgetting to pin the badge on our collars. But the disadvantage is that the iron-on badge tends to fall off easily. It isn’t very durable. In addition, the iron-on badge is pretty ugly compared to the pin-on badge.
Thirdly, the changes I have experienced so far is the time we have to reach school. Previously, we, the students have to wake up early in the morning to prepare for school. But now, fret not! Every Thursday, there would be a delay in school. We could reach school before 8.30am. Isn’t that great? For once, we could wake up a little later than usual. I believe this would help us to concentrate on our studies even more as we would have sufficient sleep.
Fourthly, our school has some sort of renovated. It is now beautifully painted. Even the floor of the hall has been repainted. Some of the classes have colour red for the back of their class walls, some have grey, we have yellow! It’s quite refreshing as our classroom looks bright.
Fifthly, we had a change of teachers. Mr. tang, our secondary three form teacher and Ms Wong, our principle of accounts teacher did not follow us up to secondary four as they were leaving for other schools.
Lastly, we had a change of classrooms. The secondary four express used to have our classrooms at level 5. But we have since shifted up to level 6 as level 5 is quite noisy. I love our classroom as it has a wonderful view. Most of the time, we would be able to get a whiff of the food coming from the nearby hawker centre. It’s very tempting especially for those who didn’t have their breakfast. Our classroom is very windy plus we are located at the highest level of the school- level 6. Hence, it would be quite cold at times.
These are some of the changes I have experienced since school reopened in 2008. Could you share some of the changes you have experienced since school reopened in 2008 too?
Our class still misses you! Hope to hear from you soon!
